Miles joined the family business in 2013, learning closely from his father, Nigel Hewitt. Over the last decade Miles has mastered his skill as our in-house watch technician and he also beautifully repairs and polishes our customers precious jewellery pieces.

Miles has always had a passion and natural skill with dismantling and repairing things well before working at Bailey & Sons. In his late teens, Miles studied Mechanics and Engineering at Aylesbury College where his interest and skills in repairing was honed. He went on to work at a local Mechanics, before trying his hand working for the Forestry Commission at Wendover Woods. As much as he enjoyed his time in nature, he missed the more mechanical projects he had always enjoyed so much, thus joined Bailey & Sons when he was 20 years old and trained as a Watch & Clock technician, under Nigel’s experienced guidance.
